Yep - this might be a preliminary concept-stage version of the egg n muffin toaster we all know and love now.

But, bacon in a light blue toaster? hmmm... it's not quite there.

Think about the drippy bacon grease... the electrical parts involved...

A compact toaster oven would be a better idea for cooking bacon. And, for health freaks... turkey bacon is a little bit less greasy. Try that out sometime.

As for me, I like to crispy up my BREAD in my two slot toaster, and I'll stick with cooking my bacon in my Cuisinart toaster oven stainless... for safety sake.

I still haven't purchased that egg and muffin toaster yet. I will. It's on the bucket list. A must have in my life. I guarantee... IT WILL BE MINE!!!

Seriously...I thought Jane Toast was nuts when she started talking about an Egg and Muffin toaster. I had just purchased a Tefal four slice Toaster and couldn't think that I would ever want to have another device.

But here is the thing. I love eggs. So I was thinking...."the office!" "Ali's cool. She won't mind the smell of breakfast cooking...will she?"

Well I bit the bullet and bought one. You can see the picture right here of it in use, and I'll have a couple more.

Let me just say, this really works! I tried it today and it really worked and it will work in the office too.

I wanted to share the results of my breakfast out of my new egg n muffin toaster. (I used wheat bread by the way.)

Seriously, this is the best toaster you can buy online. (Please don't tell Tefal...)

If you like eggs like I do, then you should reconsider that Breville Stainless Steel Toaster...shun tradition and have some eggs with that toast!

Did you know that the thing somehow coordinates so that the eggs are done at the same time?

So this might not be a great picture, but if your goal is to eat Eggs N Toast in the office...where is proof that it can be done.

Try it....bring out the Betty Crocker toaster lover in you.

This might be boring to some, but here is my Back to Basics Egg & Muffin Toaster in action.

I just can't wait to eat when I watch this- and the best part is that the eggs are done at the same time that the egg muffins are! It's so ingenius. I can't believe I never heard of this devise before GlobalToaster.

Watch the toast pop up prefectly brown and crispy... you can hear the eggs poaching away too.

Seriously, this is the best two slice toaster I've ever owned.

Easy to use and easy to clean... it is the perfect little black toaster breakfast maching for my office.

I had never even heard of of one of these before, but this thing is the real deal. Look at the steam coming up out of where the eggs are cooking... wow.

This past fall I had to get back to the basics in tailgating, I only wish I had gotten a back to the basics toaster for the entire football season!

I took a road trip up to South Bend to watch the IRISH play and get back on track by toasting the Spartans!

The tailgate was awesome, we started out by doing a little kegs and eggs using a toaster with egg cooker! Great start to the morning, with some farm fresh eggs and two slices of wheat toast! We debated over the toaster with egg cooker versus the egg n muffin toaster, but the toaster with egg cooker won out! Needed a little more sustenance on a day like that.

Next we moved on to the real deal with some brats and sausages! Here's where it got a little crazy...ever had a brat cooked in a toaster?!?!? My friend's dad had the best two slice toaster I've ever seen! He toasted the bun in one slot and stuck the brat in the other! Now that's innovation!

By this time I was getting toasted, like you had stuck me in a 4-slice toaster!!! I had tapped the Rockies a few times at this point, if you know what I mean.

This was when I noticed the Michigan State fans using a "Hello Kitty Toaster Oven" at the tailgate next to me. NO COMMENT.

Then it was game time...the band, the gold helmets, J.C. looking down on us! Oh baby! I stopped at the concession stand to grab a bottle of water, and I noticed they not only had a classic toaster behind the counter, but they also had a couple of commercial bagel toasters. ND really knows how to do it!!

Moving into the last few minutes of the game, I thought he IRISH might be toast again....then the real J.C. (#7), hooked up with Golden Toast (Tate) for a big score on a 33 yard pass! Here we go! My pulse jumped, my heart skipped a beat. Then I might as well have shoved a toaster down my throat, as the Spartans started to drive down the field. Not this again! With just about a minute left, my boy Kyle snatched the ball out of the sky for the big interception....and an IRISH victory!

I have changed McCarthy's nickname to Gold Toaster!

After the game I celebrated with a few more libations and decided to go back to the classic toaster for one more round of food.

Nothing better than getting back to the basics! We turned Sparty into a piece of burnt toast!

I already can not wait till next season starts, I'm going to take a green toaster oven for good luck! Not like we'll need it though.

Ok this Sunday morning I tried out my Egg n Muffin toaster (disclosure: used wheat bread).   It was shocking how well this worked. Most of you know that this blog is mostly a device to get you here via a search engine.

We don't actually review as much as report what we read...

But I actually broke down, went to Global Toaster to buy this toaster online...and couldn't be happier.   Tomorrow I’ll take it to the office and see how it works right next to my ottoman.

(yeah, I work from a lounge chair... so we'll see how this works... I'll put up a picture.)

As for the review. As you can see, I left a few parts out so the water overflowed...I'm not good at reading directions.   After that, I'm pretty sure I know how to do it now.

shhhh don't tell her!!!! This might be her birthday present this year.

Of course, this would be an addition to another fab toaster... hmmm maybe the Egg N Muffin Toaster she's had her eye on or the who needs a "big oven" because I have a Tfal Avante Elite Convection Toaster oven.

Now all she will need is maybe an egg white blanket and yellow butter pillows or purpley grape jelly sheets with a peanut butter comforter.

The possibilities are endless!!!

Who knows? We are talking about Jane Toast "the Queen of All Things Toasted"....

She probably already has at least one. Toasty Dreams!!!

Stimulus Plan and Appliances

Have you heard the news? The government is going to help us update our old appliances!
Certainly they should include those 2-slice and 4-slice toasters that have been sitting on our counters for years....afterall, they could be fire hazards.

My mouth is watering now as I look forward to upgrade to a Breville Stainless Steel Toaster or Cusinart Stainless Steel Toaster Oven.

This program starts in the Spring and details are being worked out....let's push for those toasters to be included!

At the least, I'll be able to replace my almond refrigerator and with all the $$$'s I'll save on electricity one of the best toaster ovens as reviewed on global toaster can find its way to my home.

Don't wait...start your search...let the energy savings begin!

So here is a picture of the breakfast I made the other day in my office.

Actual results from my Egg and Muffin Toaster.

Sorry if it looks a little used, but this was so perfect coming out of my Back to Basics Egg & Muffin Toaster I had to get a few bites in before I started blogging. My recipe for this was simple: Multi Grain English Muffin (100 calories), one cage free egg (I noticed they had Cage Free and Organic but not Cage Free Organic?) I also eat Cholula Sauce on everything so added a couple of shakes to this as well. Perfect. Warm, fresh.

What was cool is that the toaster works so that the toast and the egg are done at the same time. I went with the two slice toaster version but they make a bigger one.

Seriously this is going to be a great office device.

Doesn't smell, nothing to really clean up... (forgot to mention that I used an olive oil based cooking spray) I use one paper towel...use it as a napkin and then wipe the tray out and bingo.

Being right smack in the middle of our kitchen remodel has me dreaming of the perfect toaster.

Ahhh… how I love english muffins in the morning. Should I go with the predictable choice of the English Muffin Toaster? or the super duper Egg N Muffin Toaster?

Toasters specially made for the muffin are my favorite... but really isn't every toaster special?

What about the beautiful Cuisinart Stainless Steel Toaster Oven?? I can already see my reflection in the shimmering steel. This is going to be hard... but oh, so fun.

I will just have to keep looking and enjoying my favorite past-time...TOASTER SHOPPING!!!

I'm officially hooked...checking into the best toaster reviews I've found the "Back to Basics TEM 500 Egg-and Muffin 2-slice toaster and Egg Poacher."

This black toaster has to win the best two slice toaster award!

The challenge would be for me to learn how to operate this baby without calling my son!

Only kidding...it looks easy to operate and works like magic. My husband would never complain again....it would eggs and toast everyday for him...shh...don't tell him it cooks bacon too!

Egg N Muffin Toaster Envy

So I just bought a Tfal Toaster a couple of weeks ago and love it. It does everything I expected it to do really, really well. It's beautiful and I love the angle of the toast as it comes out. It's also fast and easy to use....although my 9 year old had to teach his 15 year old brother how to get his Pop-Tarts out... but that's more about my 15 year old than anything to do with the Tfal....

But, Jane is really, really causing me pangs of envy with her posts about the Egg N Muffin Toaster she bought for her parents.

Honestly, I thought this thing was a joke when I first saw the pictures. Now, I'm convinced it may be the best small toaster for someone like me. I just love Egg Sandwiches, and eggs are one thing that I just cannot master in a microwave oven.

But according to Jane's parents, this thing is perfect. Easy to clean up after, and quick.

Seems like the perfect breakfast match to my Krueg coffee maker for a fast and clean getaway every morning from my house.

This is the coveted egg n muffin toaster that I have been COMPLETELY obsessed about for months.

So, I just learned that ANOTHER friend of mine has one, and he raves about how much money he is saving because he's not hitting McDonald's every morning for his breakfast sandwich.

That is so awesome... especially in the economic times that we are in right now. Ugh...

Why haven't I ordered one of these up for myself yet? SO MUCH ENVY!!!

Even more reason that every household should own a toaster with egg poacher- save yourselves some cash folks!

This is like the most perfect breakfast small appliance toaster invention ever.

KOL - Kings of (Toaster) Leon!

Yes, we all know that I, Jane Toast, am a total live music junkie, and I'll have you know I'm also a huge fan of Kings of Leon... (Though, I think they'd be a better band if they were called the Kings of Toasters Leon... or something along those lines.)

Anyways, they were in town this summer and I was lucky enough to see them at our local venue (not my favorite, the Slippery Noodle Inn, this time). But, what a great show!

While I was at the concert, in the middle of "Use Somebody", I couldn't help my mind from wandering back to toasters...

I got to wondering if they have an english muffin toaster or something on their tour bus. You know, they're on the road so much, I bet an egg n muffin toaster would be the greatest addition to their life on the road.

They could wake up and make breakfast right there in their decked out swanky tour bus with a toaster with egg cooker.

Or... what if they have a hanging toaster oven on the bus to save space? Can you say chocolate chip cookies? It would be the perfect late night snack after playing the latest gig.

You know KOL, while you've been "roaming around always looking down at all you see..."

Maybe you should try looking up and buy toaster online to feed your cravings while on tour.

…Just a thought to make your lives easier.

Out of Town Friend Finally GETS IT!

With guests in town this weekend, I decided to break out my Bodum french coffee press and make some really strong coffee to go with the english muffins I toasted in my Delonghi stainless steel toaster.

(It may have been a late night on Saturday.)

So, my girlfriend here while munching on her muffin over her steaming cup of gourmet coffee dares tell me "toasters are boring".

Excuse me? I was so offended... for my Delonghi.

It took all I could not yank the english muffin right out of her mitts.

I started explaining to her the features and benefits and the tell-tale twelve toaster test that Gone Toastal had perfected.

Can you believe she YAWNED??!?!?

That's it. I broke out my laptop and showed her the selection of toasters at Global Toaster and everything that she has been missing out on for so many years.

I think she got.

She perked up and started surfing through the site. (Could have been the caffeine kicking in.) She had no idea about the Dualit three slot toaster and why there are only three slots.

(Only to build the perfect BLT sandwich, duh!)

And don't even get me started on the egg and muffin toasters...

To think the machine of her dreams had been out there for so long and she had no idea!

Your welcome my friend... just think of how much easier your life will be from now that you'll be getting that perfect toaster for you.

If you think an egg and muffin toaster is handy.... you might be on the right track. But, it doesn't hold a stick of butter to the Hot Diggity Dogger. This is a LIFE SAVER in every college dorm.

Everyone going away to school should have one!

Look how cool it is. It'll heat up two hotdogs and the buns in no time. There's no pans, nothing to clean, you just throw the dogs in - they pop out - and you're good to go.

Think of the late-night snack attacks and how much money the kids will save instead of hitting the drive thru.

It is all fun and games till your toaster kicks your butt!

Be aware of how you treat your toaster! Your toast might be too dark or it might be too light.... but you have to have patience!

Not everything can be as good as an Egg N Muffin Toaster. You need to develop a relationship.

You never know when your toaster might come to life and push your buttons.

So pick yourself up a trustworthy friend.... like a Hanging Toaster Oven or a Classic Toaster.

Once you and your friend develop a mutual relationship, then you can be more demanding on how you want things done. We have to remember... toasters have feelings to!

It seems farfetched, but Toasters are so popular... that they can even appear in a blockbuster movie's like Transformers!!

(By the way.... the Movie was Awesome!)

OK.... back to what I was saying....

Toasters are always demanding attention and all they want is a friend to hang out with. So start developing that relationship today and say Hi to your toaster every morning!

Then.......You can start living happily ever after and not in !!!
