By Definition - Toast Really Isn't So Dry

Tuesday, March 2, 2010 by Betty Bagel
smith toaster blue, two slice toasterWikipedia defines toast as "bread that has been browned by exposure to dry heat." It also states that "toasting is a common method of making stale bread more palatable."

Oh, Wikipedia! You sell our beloved toast so short!

Perhaps you've never tasted a perfectly tanned bagel straight from a Breville four slice toaster. I'm guessing you've never experienced golden brown perfection from an Oster glass view toaster.

If so, I'm sure your description wouldn't be quite so... well, dry.

Take it from Global Toaster, where you can buy toaster online in all shapes and sizes.  Toast isn't just toast, when you know as much as we do about the finest kitchen appliances ever invented!

Wikipedia... so much to learn...

Bobsledding Reminds Me of My 4 Slot Bagel Toaster

Sunday, February 28, 2010 by Jane Toast
four slot bagel toaster, 4 slot bagel toaster51 second vertical drop, with 5Gs of force at 95 MPH at maximum speed... what an adrenaline rush bob-sledding must be!

Talk about teamwork.   Four guys pushing and hopping into the sled and then working the corners down the track.  Beautiful, really.

It reminds me of the unison of a four slot bagel toaster.  Popping each of the half bagel slices into the toaster slot, one at a time.  Selecting the right setting, then pushiing the lever down.

GO!  Watching the red glow of the coils heating up each slice while they work as a team to toast (just one side) of each delicious bagel.

When their all done right at the same time, you know you've won gold.
You just can't replicate the adrenline rush and the teamwork you get with an excellent four slice bagel toaster, like the ones you can find at Global Toaster.

Does Justin Bieber use a Toaster?

Tuesday, February 23, 2010 by Burnt Toast
Tfal Toaster Ovens, Kitchenaid Toaster Oven Red, Slot Bagel Toaster, Undercounter Toaster OvenIs Justin Bieber becoming so big that he doesn't use a Toaster?

This young star is rising to the top quick!  I wonder if he gets any time to enjoy the use of a Toaster.  I know when I was a kid, I looked forward to every morning putting my 2 Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts in my Red Four Slice Toaster.  It was my favorite breakfast!  "YUMMY"!!

Now... Justin probably has his entire entourage run to the nearest bakery that has a Kitchen Gourmet Toaster Oven of some sort and pick up a few croissants for him.  Which isn't a bad idea either.

You never know though... most celebs just like to be treated as people just like everyone else.  Justin could be eating Eggo Waffles every morning (which is what I think) and cooking Hot Pockets in his Tfal Avante Elite Toaster Oven in the evenings for dinner.

No matter what I think... I am sure there will be a Tell All book about Justin Bieber by the time he is 18.  Then we can find out all of his secrets.

Jane Toast Says: What Is Up With Curling?

Sunday, February 21, 2010 by Jane Toast
curling, toasters for sale, kitchen gourmet toaster ovenI'm amazed by this sport.  Between my Cuisinart toaster oven reviews, I admit I've been watching the 2010 winter olympics, and whenever curling comes on... I can't turn away.  I don't know what it is.

It's not like it gets me up on the edge of my seat, like when I'm just ready for my toast to pop up out of an Oster digital toaster, but... I keep staring.  I think it's fascinating, and I just know there's more strategy behind it than I know about.

From an innocent Jane Toast bystander viewpoint, I feel like I'm watching a giant, slow game of shuffleboard, where the contestants are allowed to cheat the system by scrubbing the ice in front of the "puck".

(Excuse my ignorance... I'm sure I have the terminology all wrong here...)

How does this all work, and how have they build a sport around it?!?!  I just don't understand.

Can someone please explain?

I want to shove a toaster down the ice and see how well it performs.
I think a red four slice toaster could beat this thing in a curling match any day of the week.

Well, hopefully someone has some insight they can share with me.  Otherwise, I'll just continue to watch and cheer when the other fans start cheering.  I'm a team player after all... even if I don't get it.

The Slotless Toaster!

Is this the Next Generation of Toasters?

Introducing the slotless toaster!  This device can toast any type of bread, regardless of its thickness.

The way it works is -  bread is placed directly on the heated flatbed surface - not inside narrow slots where sometimes you have to use a fork to get the toast out.

You can toast thick bagels or croissants, Texas toast, or baguettes. The toaster has a 700-watt heating element that radiates through the stainless-steel surface.

It also can be used for browning or defrosting bread quickly and evenly. You can select your preferred level of browning with the turn of a dial.  And the under-mounted crumb tray slides out for fast, easy cleanup.

I am not totally sold on this device yet.  I am still a sucker for a Delonghi Four Slice Toaster or a Oster Copper Toaster.

Let me know your thoughts!  Is this the Next Generation of Toaster?

Egg and muffin toasters ROCK!

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
egg n muffin toaster, back to basics egg and muffin toasterSeriously...I thought Jane Toast was nuts when she started talking about an Egg and Muffin toaster.  I had just purchased a Tefal four slice Toaster and couldn't think that I would ever want to have another device.

But here is the thing.  I love eggs.   So I was thinking...."the office!" "Ali's cool.  She won't mind the smell of breakfast cooking...will she?"

Well I bit the bullet and bought one.   You can see the picture right here of it in use, and I'll have a couple more.

Let me just say, this really works!  I tried it today and it really worked and it will work in the office too.

Movies & Toast!!

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 by Burnt Toast
Delonghi Four Slice Toaster, Red Four Slice Toaster, Oster Copper Toaster

My absolutely two favorite things to do are....

Watching Movies and using my Oster Countertop Toaster to make my favorite snack... Toast!  Specially this time of year with all the snow we have been getting in my area.

Once the weekend gets here... I usually log in to http://moviemarkblog.com to check out the latest movie reviews.  Whether I am looking for a rental or thinking about going to the movies, I really like to see what MovieMark had to say about them.

Then once I have established what I am going to do.  The only question is, am I sneaking in toast to the Movie Theater or using my Countertop Toaster at home.  Either way it is going to be a Great Day!

So don't let your weekends go by to fast!  Whether you have a Delonghi Four Slice Toaster or a Tfal Convection Toaster Oven.  Fix your favorite snack and enjoy a Great movie!

JR's Museum - Toasters Included!

Monday, February 15, 2010 by Jane Toast
toaster oven muffin, delonghi four slice toaster, red four slice toaster, oster copper toasterI met some new friends at the Toaster Collector's Association this past October, one of which is JR, the owner of a Small Electric Appliance Musuem out in Missouri.

Look at this photo of his collection.
Yes, those are all classic metal toasters.

I can't tell from this photo if my favorite Delonghi four slice toaster would be included... these look like they may be more antique than modern, but it might be there.

If you're in the Missouri area, you should stop in and see this place.  JR is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about his collection of small appliances, he even has more than just my favorite.

I hope to make a trip out there to see if I can find a Munsey toaster oven in the mix.  You never know...  If you want more info about one of my new friend's speciality shop, click to his website.

If you're looking to buy something new, like a oster copper toaster you've found the place: Global Toaster.

Dualit Three Slice Toaster? Why?

Sunday, February 14, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
dualit three slice toaster, dualit 3-slice toaster, dualit toasterWhat's with the British?  Here in the United States we crave the Dualit Four Slice Toaster.  So why in England do they sell only a three slicer?

Seriously....what is the logic behind three slices?

Yet for all my scorn, I'm secretly coveting this.   First of all unlike the typical stainless steel toaster, this one is red.   And in spite of its impracticability....who else do you know that has a three slice toaster?

My competitive nature and freakish attraction to small kitchen appliances are somehow drawing me to take a trip over to find this Dualit Toaster on Global Toaster.

Cute Little Bagel Toaster

Saturday, February 13, 2010 by Jane Toast
sanyo toaster, tfal convection toaster oven, conveyor bagel toasterSo this Sanyo toaster oven is one of the cutest I've seen... but maybe it's just a little too pint-sized cute.

I mean, look at it, either that's a gigantic slice of a bagel on the bottom, or those are mini ones up top.  Either way... a four slice Cuisinart toaster bagel would do this job much better, and get them crispy faster.

Too bad it can't also add the schmear.

I do like the clear toaster oven door though, so you can precisely judge the toast level of your bagel.  I'd be so  much more impressed though if it was more like the Euro Pro Kitchen Toaster oven.

Now, that toasting guy has it going on!

Nerdy Toaster Set Up... It's Perfect

Friday, February 12, 2010 by Jane Toast
euro pro kitchen toaster oven, onyx black toaster computerWell, well, well... maybe I just set this up myself.

It's got a white cuisinart four slice toaster computer complete with a monitor, keyboard, and a mouse.

I believe this is as complete of an office set up as I would ever need.  Who needs a PC when you have a breville smart toaster to do all that computing for you?

It has a neat little blue glow there.  That must mean it's working.  For sure.

I wonder how much memory a quality toaster oven pc would have?  Crazy to even think about.

The only thing missing is some bread product in that machine.  Somebody give it some computing fuel for crying out loud!!!

I love this nerdy toaster desk set.

Happy Happy - Toast Toast! Happy Happy - TOAST!

Friday, February 12, 2010 by Jane Toast
yellow toaster, toaster apple green, happy toasterAhhhhh... much better!  Check out this happy yellow toaster... so much better than a toaster apple green... at least today.

It's smiling back at me with its toast AND the toaster too.

Clear toaster heaven... right here.   Beaming out at me like the SUN.

I wish everyone on the planet could wake up to a bright yellow cuisinart four slice toaster every morning and have it smile back at them like THIS - so happy!

If you don't feel a smile spread across your face when you spy a smiley happy toaster... you've got problems.  :)

HA!

What's the Right Toaster for Johnny Drama?

Thursday, February 11, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
johnny drama toaster, entourage toaster, euro pro kitchen toaster ovenI'm sure I'm no different than most guys in this world.  Who wouldn't want to be Johnny Drama?

All the glory of hanging out with movie stars with none of the pressure.  A little TV work and hanging out cooking for your friends and family.

Seems like the perfect life to me.   This year I'm going to be watching Johnny with a lot more interest.   What kind of toaster do you think he uses to make Pop-Tarts for the boys?

Of course they have to use the best stainless steel toaster available.   From what I've seen, it will probably work out to be the Dualit four slice toaster.

It's an honor to sell them here at Global Toaster, but now I'm going to have to wait and pay attention to the kitchen scenes very carefully.   I'm guessing it's not a two-slice toaster for Johnny Drama.

Do you think he wants to buy toaster online?  Hope he comes to Global Toaster.

What Makes the Dualit Toaster So Special?

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
toaster for bagel, dualit toaster, three slot toasterIn 1946 an Swiss-German Half Catholic Half Jewish Immigrant to England revolutionized the world of toasters by inventing the Dual-Light Toaster.  Now known as the Dualit and manufactured on Old Kent Road in England.

Unlike almost every other kitchen appliance in the world, this one is completely hand made from start to finish by an English craftsman.  Each Dualit toaster is hand engraved by the craftsman who made it.

Get this...you can actually buy replacement parts.  What generation is that about?

Everything we have is designed to be bought, used and then thrown away.  And here comes this retro throwback.   I'd call it Green if it wasn't for the simple fact that green is a new term and nothing 65 years old can be considered green right?

Ok, that's sarcasm of course.  I use it because often people ask me if the Dualit four slice toaster is worth the money.

Of course it is!  It is a hand crafted work of art that will last forever.

Toaster Dinners!

Tuesday, February 9, 2010 by Burnt Toast

Conveyor Bagel Toaster, Tfal Convection Toaster Oven, Quality Toaster OvenThat's right.... I said dinners!

Not only do I use my Cuisinart four slice toaster every morning, I really enjoy using it at night!  Toasting anything from English muffins to Frozen waffles.  Eating breakfast foods for dinner is one of my favorite things to do.

You know what I am talking about.

Remember when you were a kid and your mom would make you pancakes for dinner.... it was awesome!  Pancakes are still one of my favorite things to have for dinner.  I just never enjoyed cleaning up all the dishes after wards.  That is another reason I enjoy using toasters.  Easy clean-up after every use.

I also love to use the Breville Convection Toaster to make dinner.  I just break out some bread and turkey.... stick it in the Breville toaster oven and BOOM...

You get a great toasted turkey sandwich.

So just remember... you can use a classic toaster for any occasion.... Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!

Toasters Do Wear Out

Sunday, February 7, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
burnt toaster, burnt toast, classic metal toasterBeing the toaster freak that I am, I have Google Alerts set for news or content on the web associated with any toaster company.  One thing that keeps coming up every day is kitchen fires or worse associated with this innocent little device.

The problem is that many people think that 'if it's not broke don't fix it'.  The problem is that when this thing breaks it is often quite serious.

Keep this in mind:  Even the best toasters are cheap compared to the downside of hanging onto one too long.   Let's face it, this is nothing more than a box with some think strands of wire designed to get really hot from electricity.  Over time, those wires get brittle and break.   This can cause a short circuit that obviously can and often does lead to fire.

How old is your 4-slice toaster?

Ok, that was the public service part of my post.  Now let's get to the self-serving part.  We offer a great place to buy these appliances.   Think about it now and upgrade to a Breville Four Slice Toaster.   They are awesome, fast, beautiful and not that expensive.

Rare Red Japanese VW Bus Toaster

Rare Japanese Toaster, Japanese VW Toaster, Japanese VW Bus ToasterMaybe I'm obsessed with all things Japanese... I love sushi, love to say "Ko-ni-chi-wah" at all opportunities, love kimonos, love technology, love that Tokyo is on my list of must see places in the world, love cameras... and LOVE THIS RED TOASTER!

How many German-Asian toasters have you met in your day?

(How many German-Asian Toaster bloggers?  HA!)

I think this was built just for me.

A two slice metal classic toaster in the shape and style of one of America's favorite vehicles... who wouldn't fall in love with this masterpiece?

Hard-working, piece of art that is innovative and exotic all at once... this is not a plain Jane oster four slice toaster... oh, no.

This is priceless.
There just is no toaster price I wouldn't pay to own one of these.

Thank you to my friend Eric Toaster for sharing this rare red VW bus toaster!  Is this yours?  I feel like it's family...

Proctor Silex Toaster Oven Review, Cuisinart Retro Toaster Oven, Microwave Toaster Oven Combo

Have you heard the news? The government is going to help us update our old appliances!
Certainly they should include those 2-slice and 4-slice toasters that have been sitting on our counters for years....afterall, they could be fire hazards.

My mouth is watering now as I look forward to upgrade to a Breville Stainless Steel Toaster or Cusinart Stainless Steel Toaster Oven.

This program starts in the Spring and details are being worked out....let's push for those toasters to be included!

At the least, I'll be able to replace my almond refrigerator and with all the $$$'s I'll save on electricity one of the best toaster ovens as reviewed on global toaster can find its way to my home.

Don't wait...start your search...let the energy savings begin!

Top Appliance this Season

Cusinart Digital Toaster and the Pain of Waffles

Thursday, February 4, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
LOL...so I'm passionate about Cuisinart Toasters, and really love frozen waffles.  So when I saw this video that was not only hysterical but also included a chrome four slice toaster and a waffle theme...well I couldn't resist sharing it with you all.

If your house is like mine in the morning, it's all about how quickly can we get the food into the machine and onto the counter.  This device is the most productive I've seen.  I can have 4 kids eating in less than 4 minutes.   Anyway...check out this toaster video and see if you ever look at frozen waffles again!

Eric Toaster's VW Bus with GNARLY Graphics DUDE

Thursday, February 4, 2010 by Jane Toast
kitchenaid blue willow toaster VW busMy friend Eric Toaster couldn't believe the blog post by Gone Toastal just the other day about going Coastal... and look what he sent me!!!

A toaster enthusiast and a VW bus owner... could it be true?!?!?

I mean, look at this beautiful 1967 13 window deluxe VW bus.  What a perfect compliment to a heavy metal professional toaster collector!!  WORD!

I wonder if Eric would have incorporated a two or four slice metal classic toaster in the back?

Ok, ok... I'm distracted by the orange clouds and yellow sunset on the side of this guy... but, I LOVE THE GRAPHICS!  If only they had a symbol of a onyx black toaster blazened across the side of it.  Now that would make a statement.

I wonder what the story is?   Eric, what more is there to your gnarly VW bus story?!?!  Do tell...  :)

BTW - Jane Toast is planning a new excursion where this vehicle would be perfect.  Wonder if I can find a rental VW... with a toaster.
