"Who Doesn't Like a Good Pop-Tart?"That was the quote of an interviewee responding to the St. Paul Zoo's August 2009 "Pop-Tart Gate" scandal. As Pop-Tart aficionados, I'm not sure how the Bagel Family missed this particular story, but apparently, some unauthorized visitors -- including a St. Paul police officer -- were under investigation for feeding the Zoo's gorillas some contraband Pop-Tarts.
In all honesty, I feel a bit sorry for Schroeder, Gordy, and Togo, the Zoo's resident silverback gorillas. They've had a taste for the best -- now they're left with their dull and unsavory approved silverback gorilla diet.
Perhaps they'd appreciate a Cuisinart Toaster Oven or an Oster Inspire Toaster for Christmas this year.
I bet they'll at least ask Santa to sneak in a few boxes of Strawberry Pop-Tart goodness.
