CENSOR - But How Could a Toaster Oven Compare?

Friday, May 21, 2010 by Jane Toast
toaster oven compare, oster two slice toasterSo this little cartoon is borderline (if not completely) inappropriate... and, my apologies, but it's too funny to pass up.

Thank you my friend for sending me this hilarious piece of toaster-humor.

It reminds me of Paris Hilton with the happy little slice of toast response.

Yes, indeed.  That's hot.  HA!

With this level of passion between a two-slotter and a slice of bread, how could a toaster oven compare?

You just can't deny the perfection of an oster two slice toaster for heating up your favorite morning carbs.

It's like these two are just made for each other!  OMG.  Imagine THAT!

It's so clear that these two have found their perfect match.  Doesn't it make you just want to tilt her head slightly to one side and say: "awww"?

We should all take at from these two... who also know a thing or two about getting bread heated up right... there is hope!

How could a toaster oven compare?

Paris Hilton may have said it best, but this little slice of bread knows what it's talking about: That's hot.

Simple Man... Oster two slice toaster perfection

Wednesday, May 19, 2010 by Jane Toast
oster two slice toaster, kitchen gourmet toasterAn Oster two slice toaster is such a simple and delightful addition to any kitchen.  Just like the song says... "Something you love an understand."  Ah, the ol' two-slicer.

Yeah, I'm watching American Idol... and Lee just ROCKED Simple Man!

Simon is right, he just "crushed" the competition in round one... as any self-respecting (toast loving) contestant would do.  Never settle for second best.  BAH!  Second is the first loser!!!

See, sometimes you don't have to get caught up in all the complicated madness.  When in doubt, keep it simple and honest.

Pick a quality machine.  Just insert two slices of your favorite bread product... wah-lah!  TOAST!

Amazing how much fun you can have if you stick to the plan. I mean, you know I appreciate all the extra bells and whistles as much as the next guy, especially if there's a egg poucher or extra-wide slots for bagels... but simple is good.

Keep it simple.   You won't be disappointed.

Just like Lee, delivering a performance each and every week.. just like an Oster two slice toaster.

uh, oh... Casey... also killing a John Mayer song.  The competition is stiff this evening.

I wonder what my girl's going to bring next.  Shhh... don't tell anyone... but I'm hoping she wins it.  Go girl!

The Rollertoaster! What's Next??

Wednesday, March 3, 2010 by Burnt Toast
Kitchen Gourmet Toaster Oven, Toastmaster Toaster Ovens, Oster Inspire ToasterCheck this Rollertoaster out!  Fan or Not... it definitely turns some heads!

The design sort of reminds me of the evolution of big bulky TV's to flat screens.  It seems like we are always trying to design something thin and sleek to draw peoples attention.

Now with a TV... I agree, thinner the better.

But on a white toaster... Come on Cletis!  Next thing I know, I will be wondering if my toast is coming out 720p brown or 1080p brown.

I think I will stick with something like a Cuisinart Retro Toaster Oven or a Oster Two Slice Toaster.

You can only really appreciate the fine art of Toasting in HD anyways!

Tanning Just Like a Slice of Bread in a Toaster

Sunday, February 28, 2010 by Jane Toast
toaster slot, sunbeam toaster ovenHow many of you have hit the tanning booth?... don't lie.  You haven't been on vaca lately... how'd you get that sun-kissed "glow"?

Tanning.   It's so terrible for your skin.   It will give you cancer... but there's something so cozy about laying in a warm pod (like a slice of bread in Cuisinart digital toaster oven) getting baked by UV rays.  Especially in the dead of winter when the weather couldn't be colder.

Yes.  I know too much.

I promise.  I've reformed my ways.  This skin goes no where near a UV bulb... (now mystic... that's another story...)

This image made me laugh though.

It's spot on.  Your like a slice of bread in a toaster slot just getting all browned up and toasty.

The weather better getting warmer really soon... or I may revert to my old ways... the glow of my Delonghi two slice toaster was looking a little too inviting today.  :)

Tweeting Toaster MyToaster is a Celebrity!

Sunday, February 28, 2010 by Jane Toast
mytoaster, toasters for sale, toast-r-ovenMy favorite tweeting toaster is getting some press!

Check this excerpt out I saw on Fox News:

"A toaster, called mytoaster, reaches out to the world to communicate two things: “toasting” and “done toasting.” This toaster only needs a piece of bread and a switchboard creating a hardware/digital interface to begin tweeting. Created by Hans Scharler of Pittsburgh, Phil., mytoaster, with its toasty tweeting abilities, has 334 followers"

Good for you Hans.  Your two slice toaster has hit celebrity status!

Just so you know, Jane Toast is one of its biggest fans.  I  mean, really... What's sweeter than hearing the status update that an innocent white toaster is out there toasting... and reporting in when the toast is done?!?!?

Music to my ears.

It's perfect.  For more on Hans and his tweeting toaster, check his website out.

And, follow GlobalToaster on twitter while you're at it!

Maybe we can talk Hans into rigging up a Oster red toaster to tweet for us...  you never know!

Until then, I'll continue to wait for the classic metal toaster pop-up to let me know when my toast is ready.  I could only be so high-tech I suppose.   I feel so behind the times all of a sudden...

Dualit 2-slice Toaster...One of the Best

Wednesday, February 17, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
light blue toaster, cobalt blue toaster, dualit toaster, dualit blue toasterOne of the best toasters you can buy according to Men's Journal is the Dualit 2-slice toaster.  You are going to really like the manually operated lift leaver that keeps the toaster down until your are ready for it.

Never forget that looks matter!

I'm jealous of Jane for coming up with that toaster song the other day so I'm working on a country song about my infatuation with Dualit...

"Two Slice Metal Toaster Stainless Steel...let me tell you how I truly feel..

My love for you is really, really real"

You never burn my bagels, you never fail to please...I'm really sorry I tried to make a grilled cheese..."

Ok that sucked  LOL

Movies & Toast!!

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 by Burnt Toast
Delonghi Four Slice Toaster, Red Four Slice Toaster, Oster Copper Toaster

My absolutely two favorite things to do are....

Watching Movies and using my Oster Countertop Toaster to make my favorite snack... Toast!  Specially this time of year with all the snow we have been getting in my area.

Once the weekend gets here... I usually log in to http://moviemarkblog.com to check out the latest movie reviews.  Whether I am looking for a rental or thinking about going to the movies, I really like to see what MovieMark had to say about them.

Then once I have established what I am going to do.  The only question is, am I sneaking in toast to the Movie Theater or using my Countertop Toaster at home.  Either way it is going to be a Great Day!

So don't let your weekends go by to fast!  Whether you have a Delonghi Four Slice Toaster or a Tfal Convection Toaster Oven.  Fix your favorite snack and enjoy a Great movie!

MISSION POSSIBLE: Save the Toasters!

Monday, February 15, 2010 by Jane Toast
stainless steel toaster, buy breville toasterShocking, I know.  But, there are neglected stainless steel two slice toasters out there, and while this photo might at first appear to be an example of just such a horrific scene... these lucky little guys are anything but neglected.

Humble metal toasters, sometimes need fixing.

Yep.  These machines do wear out, and the best thing you can do for your favorite kitchen appliance (besides expressing how much you appreciate it every single day it sits on your counter and provides you with beautifully toasted bread products) is to keep it clean and well maintained.

Don't commit the sin of neglecting your toaster!

In the unfortunate scenario, that your coveted kitchen gourmet toaster goes ka-put, well - you can take it to a repair shop.  Like the one in this photo.  Professionals can dissect these creatures and get them back up to working order in no time.

As for me, I don't have a clue how to fix one, but I wouldn't hesitate to ship it off for repair and rework while I buy Breville toaster from GlobalToaster to fulfill my toasting needs in the meantime.

Clean, repair, adopt, but never neglect these humble little devices.

The mission is clear: SAVE THE TOASTERS!

Video of my Back to Basics Egg & Muffin Toaster

Friday, February 12, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
This might be boring to some, but here is my Back to Basics Egg & Muffin Toaster in action.

I just can't wait to eat when I watch this- and the best part is that the eggs are done at the same time that the egg muffins are!   It's so ingenius.  I can't believe I never heard of this devise before GlobalToaster.

Watch the toast pop up prefectly brown and crispy... you can hear the eggs poaching away too.

Seriously, this is the best two slice toaster I've ever owned.

Easy to use and easy to clean... it is the perfect little black toaster breakfast maching for my office.

I had never even heard of of one of these before, but this thing is the real deal.   Look at the steam coming up out of where the eggs are cooking...  wow.

Watch my video.  You'll want a Back to Basics toaster too.

Tailgate toast!

Thursday, February 11, 2010 by Burnt Toast
Kitchen Gourmet Toaster Oven, Tfal Convection Toaster Oven, Commercial Bagel Toasters

This past fall I had to get back to the basics in tailgating, I only wish I had gotten a back to the basics toaster for the entire football season!

I took a road trip up to South Bend to watch the IRISH play and get back on track by toasting the Spartans!

The tailgate was awesome, we started out by doing a little kegs and eggs using a toaster with egg cooker! Great start to the morning, with some farm fresh eggs and two slices of wheat toast! We debated over the toaster with egg cooker versus the egg n muffin toaster, but the toaster with egg cooker won out! Needed a little more sustenance on a day like that.

Next we moved on to the real deal with some brats and sausages! Here's where it got a little crazy...ever had a brat cooked in a toaster?!?!? My friend's dad had the best two slice toaster I've ever seen! He toasted the bun in one slot and stuck the brat in the other! Now that's innovation!

By this time I was getting toasted, like you had stuck me in a 4-slice toaster!!! I had tapped the Rockies a few times at this point, if you know what I mean.

This was when I noticed the Michigan State fans using a "Hello Kitty Toaster Oven" at the tailgate next to me. NO COMMENT.

Then it was game time...the band, the gold helmets, J.C. looking down on us! Oh baby! I stopped at the concession stand to grab a bottle of water, and I noticed they not only had a classic toaster behind the counter, but they also had a couple of commercial bagel toasters. ND really knows how to do it!!

Moving into the last few minutes of the game, I thought he IRISH might be toast again....then the real J.C. (#7), hooked up with Golden Toast (Tate) for a big score on a 33 yard pass! Here we go! My pulse jumped, my heart skipped a beat. Then I might as well have shoved a toaster down my throat, as the Spartans started to drive down the field. Not this again! With just about a minute left, my boy Kyle snatched the ball out of the sky for the big interception....and an IRISH victory!

I have changed McCarthy's nickname to Gold Toaster!

After the game I celebrated with a few more libations and decided to go back to the classic toaster for one more round of food.

Nothing better than getting back to the basics! We turned Sparty into a piece of burnt toast!

I already can not wait till next season starts, I'm going to take a green toaster oven for good luck! Not like we'll need it though.

GO IRISH!!

What's the Right Toaster for Johnny Drama?

Thursday, February 11, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
johnny drama toaster, entourage toaster, euro pro kitchen toaster ovenI'm sure I'm no different than most guys in this world.  Who wouldn't want to be Johnny Drama?

All the glory of hanging out with movie stars with none of the pressure.  A little TV work and hanging out cooking for your friends and family.

Seems like the perfect life to me.   This year I'm going to be watching Johnny with a lot more interest.   What kind of toaster do you think he uses to make Pop-Tarts for the boys?

Of course they have to use the best stainless steel toaster available.   From what I've seen, it will probably work out to be the Dualit four slice toaster.

It's an honor to sell them here at Global Toaster, but now I'm going to have to wait and pay attention to the kitchen scenes very carefully.   I'm guessing it's not a two-slice toaster for Johnny Drama.

Do you think he wants to buy toaster online?  Hope he comes to Global Toaster.

Worlds Highest Popping Toaster

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
I'm not sure if anyone would want to buy this CO2 powered Kitchenaid Toaster Stainless or not.  I saw a joke about it being the perfect 2 slice toaster for someone delivering toast to balcony residents.

Imagine that.   Ordering up toast from the thrid floor from your balcony.  "Yo Waiter- up here!  Fire up that toast, I'll take two!"

Seriously, hats off to Freddie Yauner for winning the Guinness World Record for Highest Popping Toaster.   Obviously, This is not your back to basics Toaster by any means!  Far from it... check out the video footage.

Rare Red Japanese VW Bus Toaster

Rare Japanese Toaster, Japanese VW Toaster, Japanese VW Bus ToasterMaybe I'm obsessed with all things Japanese... I love sushi, love to say "Ko-ni-chi-wah" at all opportunities, love kimonos, love technology, love that Tokyo is on my list of must see places in the world, love cameras... and LOVE THIS RED TOASTER!

How many German-Asian toasters have you met in your day?

(How many German-Asian Toaster bloggers?  HA!)

I think this was built just for me.

A two slice metal classic toaster in the shape and style of one of America's favorite vehicles... who wouldn't fall in love with this masterpiece?

Hard-working, piece of art that is innovative and exotic all at once... this is not a plain Jane oster four slice toaster... oh, no.

This is priceless.
There just is no toaster price I wouldn't pay to own one of these.

Thank you to my friend Eric Toaster for sharing this rare red VW bus toaster!  Is this yours?  I feel like it's family...

Toaster Thief Foiled By Homeowner

Friday, February 5, 2010 by Chris PY Waffle
pearl metallic toaster, kitchenaid toaster stainlessA report came through our news wire this morning about a man in the UK who single handily broke open a case involving a notorious toaster thief:

“Mr Bradley heard a noise on the ground floor and on hearing a second noise went to investigate and found the defendant in the kitchen holding a toaster. He pushed the toaster towards Mr Bradley, there was a brief struggle and Mr Bradley was able to push the defendant out.

“He gave chase, the defendant swung the toaster at Mr Bradley and Mr Bradley punched the defendant.

“He returned home with the toaster and checked on his family.”

So...what's the motivation here?   I can only imagine that the appliance in question must have been a Pearl Metallic Toaster from a top vendor like Tfal or perhaps a Cuisinart Classic White Toaster (both found on GlobalToaster).

The perpetrator in this case tried to use his heroin addiction as an excuse for the crime....perfectly plausible if you ask me, althought apparently the judge was unsympathetic...

Not having had much experience with heroin myself, I do understand weakness and addiction when it comes to a warm crispy slice of buttered bread.   I fortunately have the willpower to live within the standards of society.

What's never really been tested is my courage.  Will I have the strength of character that Mr. Bradley did?  I guess we never know until we are tested.

But, if I had an award for "Defender of the Two Slice Toaster", no question who deserves this honor today: Congratulations Mr. Bradley!

Light Blue Toaster, Cuisinart Retro Toaster Oven, Toaster for Bagels

I recently spent a weekend away scrapbooking (my other addiction) and found myself eager to partake in the "free breakfast" offered by the hotel...WHERE HAVE THESE  PEOPLE BEEN?

How disappointed I was to see just a two slice toaster sitting pretty on the counter.

Don't they know how to make their customers happy? What rocks have their marketing people been sleeping under?

As I waited patiently for my turn, I couldn't help but discuss my favorite subject when it comes to food - TOASTERS with everyone else in line. I must admit these people could be called "toaster virgins." (More on them another time.)

What happy campers we would be if, first of all, the hotel invested in a 4-slice toaster...after all, a happy customer is a repeat customer! Then I beg them...take it to the next step...DO YOUR RESEARCH! Click over to Global Toaster and imagine what you can do to make your hotel the number one choice for breakfast.

Proctor Silex Toaster Oven Review, Cuisinart Retro Toaster Oven, Microwave Toaster Oven Combo

Have you heard the news? The government is going to help us update our old appliances!
Certainly they should include those 2-slice and 4-slice toasters that have been sitting on our counters for years....afterall, they could be fire hazards.

My mouth is watering now as I look forward to upgrade to a Breville Stainless Steel Toaster or Cusinart Stainless Steel Toaster Oven.

This program starts in the Spring and details are being worked out....let's push for those toasters to be included!

At the least, I'll be able to replace my almond refrigerator and with all the $$$'s I'll save on electricity one of the best toaster ovens as reviewed on global toaster can find its way to my home.

Don't wait...start your search...let the energy savings begin!

Top Appliance this Season

You heard it here first folks! Mrs. Popup predicts the Back to Basics 4-slot Egg and Muffin Toaster will be the "Tickle Me Elmo" of the appliance world this holiday season!

Electronics are always a big hit....but this is something that everyone can enjoy!

Just a few samples from the reviews...

Make delicious egg-and-muffin sandwiches at home in about four minutes....can toast up to four slices of bread, English muffins, bagels, or croissants, while it simultaneously steam-poaches eggs and warms pre-cooked meat. It can also hard- or soft-boil up to eight eggs at a time thanks to the included egg basket. In addition to heating up pre-cooked meat, the two included meat trays can be used to heat slices of tomato or pineapple to accompany toast or a breakfast sandwich--the options are endless. A  cool-touch exterior, a crumb tray for quick clean-up, and cord storage to help keep countertops tidy.

Eric Toaster's VW Bus with GNARLY Graphics DUDE

Thursday, February 4, 2010 by Jane Toast
kitchenaid blue willow toaster VW busMy friend Eric Toaster couldn't believe the blog post by Gone Toastal just the other day about going Coastal... and look what he sent me!!!

A toaster enthusiast and a VW bus owner... could it be true?!?!?

I mean, look at this beautiful 1967 13 window deluxe VW bus.  What a perfect compliment to a heavy metal professional toaster collector!!  WORD!

I wonder if Eric would have incorporated a two or four slice metal classic toaster in the back?

Ok, ok... I'm distracted by the orange clouds and yellow sunset on the side of this guy... but, I LOVE THE GRAPHICS!  If only they had a symbol of a onyx black toaster blazened across the side of it.  Now that would make a statement.

I wonder what the story is?   Eric, what more is there to your gnarly VW bus story?!?!  Do tell...  :)

BTW - Jane Toast is planning a new excursion where this vehicle would be perfect.  Wonder if I can find a rental VW... with a toaster.

TOASTERS REMAIN AT TOP OF WISH LIST FOR BRIDES AND GROOMS

Wednesday, February 3, 2010 by GONE TOASTAL

Tfal convection toaster oven, Tfal convecdtion toaster, Light Blue Toaster

"In 1970 the Toaster was the number one wedding gift for brides and grooms. Today it remains high on the list of priorities for newly married couples, as about 99% of couples put their desire for a Toaster on their bridal registry,"  according to local sources at Target Stores, Inc.

Teila my next door neighbor came over this morning with tears running down her face.  You see, all my neighbors know they can count on me for sound advice in a crisis.

And, boy -- a crisis it was!

Teila said, "My Toaster died sometime between 7:00 a.m. yesterday and 7:12 a.m. this morning. I don't know what I am going to do."

She sobbed, "Bob and I got five Toasters when we got married in 1970 and that Toaster was the last surviving one of the five."  The hurt in her voice was deep.

I felt her pain!

She went on to explain that she had tried every survival technique she knew, including turning the Toaster upside down and shaking it vigorously while pounding it with her fist. She then plugged it in, but it declined to heat up, no matter which outlet she tried.

She said, "I'm pretty sure it is deceased."

As I know how much this hurts when the toaster who has been through the ups and downs of your daily life with you for decades, finally needs to be put to rest.  It doesn't matter if it's a two-slice toaster or a four-slice toaster; the hurt is the same.

I gave her a proper small appliance cover for it's burial.  They need to be buried immediately, so we took it to it to it's final resting place…

To cheer her up after the service, I brought her in to look at my special high-tech toasters, hoping to inspire a new beginning.

I showed her my best bagel toaster, my smart die cast Toaster, and even my "Cool Touch" toaster oven.

This seemed to cheer her up.  She asked me for my advice as to next steps through this difficult time.

I looked her straight in the eye and said,

"Teila your toaster is gone.  Times are tough.  Your only choice -- go get married AGAIN!"

TOASTER TEST

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 by GONE TOASTAL

kitchenaid cobalt blue toaster, euro pro kitchen toaster oven, toaster for bagels

A toaster ----  is a toaster  --- is a toaster...... right?

WRONG!!

As you know I am the last person on earth to be judgmental, but looking at one's choice of toaster tells volumes about a person -- their financial status, their taste, their focus on the environment, their value of time and so on.

Is their choice a stainless or molded plastic toaster; an on counter or under counter toaster; a four slot or basic two slice toaster?  You SEE what I mean!

I must admit I can't advance to the next level of any friendship without checking out a person's choice in quality for their toaster. I just can't!

One rule of thumb I have is this -- if a person's counter top toaster is not visible on a counter top then I move on.

Once spotted, I do a quick evaluation by using

THE TELL-TALE TWELVE TOASTER TEST

1. STYLE
2. COLOR
3. SLOTS - NUMBER
4. SLOTS - LENGTH, WIDTH, ADJUSTABILITY
5. CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
6. WATTAGE OR ENERGY EFFICIENCY
7. CANCEL OR ON/OFF BUTTON
8. WARMING RACK
9. REHEAT BUTTON
10. DEFROST BUTTON
11. EASE OF CRUMB REMOVAL
12. EFFICIENTY OF CORD STORAGE

Size is not the only thing that matters!

Mrs. Popup....a Nerd?

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 by Mrs. Popup

Tfal Convection Toaster Oven, Tfal Convection Toaster, Light Blue Toaster

OMG...I never thought it would happen...just wanted to find the best two slice toaster or four slice toaster...and I'm hooked on reading the best toaster reviews and could  now be considered a nerd!

My grandchildren would be so proud!

With a click of a button I landed at Wired Magazine...this is where the nerd title comes in...I guess people reviewing this publication can be considered nerds!

What I found was Hans Scharler and his twittering toaster - really a toaster that twitters..his heading is "Twittering Toaster Offers Some Tasty Bites" not sure what type of powerful toaster makes it work, but.....really...who would have thought of this....a real techie for sure.

Think I'll leave this high tech world and be happy to continue to review a back to basics toaster...NOT...I'll never be able to look at a toaster as just an appliance....who isn't curious to see what a Breville Smart Toaster Oven can do.
